The Aran pressure transfer system has been specifically developed to transfer particulate binders such as cement and flyash from bulk storage silos or bulk bag to other storage or operating silos.

 The heart of the system is a dense phase pressure transfer system which receives batch quantities of cement from the storage silos or other binder hopper or transfer station into a pressure vessel.   This system transfers the material under the pressure of a positive displacement blower.  The system can be extended to deal with a number of input units and output.  Picture 692.jpg (1767443 bytes)

 A stand alone Aran APT system includes a logic controller (PLC) which can review the cement available in the storage silos, and draw from each in rotation, or control the secondary loading system in the case of a bulker bag unloader.  It also can review the needs of the receiving silo and deliver according to their requirements.  It is programmed to continue to fill the silos whilst being serviced until the silo is full, but can respond to an emergency call from another plant with imminent shortage.  When supplied in conjunction with an Aran mixing plant, the primary management of the transfer system is handled by the mixing plant control system with add on PLC and I/O components.  A matching Vega guided microwave silo level measuring probe is supplied for installation into each of the site silos for precise and accurate control.

The standard kit includes all necessary valves, control solenoids, fittings, and the like to set up a single transfer system.  Flexible sleeves and clamps are included for connection between the source inlet pipes and those forming part of the APT system are included. 

Control valves and components are preassembled, and factory tested.

The APT system is assembled on a skid and tested in the factory.  Site assembly only involves connection with the input and output devices.  

 APT TRANSFER SYSTEM

APT-1.8; Basic Aran pressure transfer system kit set for one input and one output.  This consists of:

  • APTV transfer vessel, (1.8 cubic metres working volume) complete with air actuated close off valves for the cement inlet, the vessel vent, the discharge line, the air inlet, and a bypass valve which diverts system conveying air to the transfer line whilst the vessel is filling. 
  • APTB-02 Medium pressure blower set complete with 37kW electric motor, starter, positive displacement blower, base frame, intake filter silencer, and relief valve, all ready for connection by flexible rubber hose sleeves
  • APTC Aran pressure transfer control and management system complete with controller, I/O devices, cabinet, operator interface, mimic panel showing system status, solenoid valves for the operation of all valves on the transfer vessel and for operation of the input discharge valve.    
  • Total theoretical capacity of the system is 21m3/hr
  • Installation instructions and circuits, and operator manuals.
